Residence Life at the School of
Mines provides on-campus housing for more than 600 students (fall 2007).
Living on-campus can be one of
the best experiences of your college years - getting to know your
neighbors and yourself is fun, exciting and sometimes challenging.
The School of Mines is governed
by the South Dakota Board of Regents (BOR). The
BOR Housing Policy in
essence requires all students in their first two years at the School of
Mines to live on-campus, see the complete policy to know if you are required to live
on-campus or not.
More than 40 students are
employed each year by ResLife to provide in-hall support services to the
residents of Connolly, Palmerton and Peterson Halls. These students
are paraprofessionals who have had training in interpersonal
communication, emergency response and documenting situations (in addition
to a number of other topics).
Since we use electronic media
for most of how we do business (on-line applications and forms, your room
assignment and other pertinent information is emailed to you, etc); we try
to keep our website as up to date as possible with information that is
useful to you and our current students. If you can't find the info
you need, please contact us.
